Position Overview:

Our client's Mission Operations department, structured into Mission Operations and Operations Preparation teams, is seeking a leader for Operations Preparation. This pivotal role focuses on missionization, ensuring successful mission execution through feasible operations concepts that integrate system and sub-system engineering efforts. Potential relocation and visa sponsorship opportunities are available.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Operations Preparation Team, integrating operational aspects into mission development.
  • Define operability requirements and support space segment design.
  • Provide operations expertise and investigate spacecraft anomalies.
  • Team Lead Function-Specific Responsibilities:
  • Manage team tasks and output, resolve technical risks, and scope new project work packages.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of space mission industry experience, with a proven track record of successful real-time operations for Low Earth Orbit (LEO) missions.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of satellite subsystems, with a focus on Functional Avionics like AOCS/GNC or OBDH/CDH.
  • Familiarity with Mission Control systems, flight procedure development, and onboard software management.
  • Ability to generate operational requirements, negotiate compliance, and influence key decisions during mission development.
  • Detail-oriented and able to work independently or within a team environment.
  • Familiarity with mission control systems, formation flying, and leadership experience.
