Position Overview:

Our client seeks a skilled and motivated Electro-Functional Systems Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will play a critical part in coordinating engineering efforts across multiple disciplines for space projects, particularly focusing on Electro-Functional systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that design and development processes meet customer requirements and project budgets, contributing to the successful execution of cutting-edge space missions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout project lifecycles, focusing on Electro-Functional systems.
  • Develop and refine design solutions based on customer requirements and budget constraints, ensuring compliance and quality.
  • Define, maintain, and oversee Electro-Functional budgets, requirements, and internal/external interfaces.
  • Conduct functional testing and validation for payload systems, including support for Digital Processing Subsystem (DPS) and On-Board Control Procedures (OBCP).
  • Evaluate deviations and non-conformances, implementing design changes as needed, while collaborating with system management and other engineering disciplines.
  • Prepare and manage engineering work packages, project specifications, and documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Degree or PhD in Physics or Engineering, ideally in Systems Engineering with an Electro-Functional focus.
  • Experience in design, development, and verification in space projects, particularly in the Electro-Functional area.
  • Strong organizational skills with a solution-oriented mindset.
  • Basic knowledge of Electro-Functional systems and willingness to engage in system-level verification.
  • Ability to work in international, multidisciplinary teams under schedule pressure.
  • Fluent in English; German is a plus.
