Position Overview:

Our client seeks a talented GNC Systems Engineer to join their Systems group,
responsible for the design and verification of Guidance, Navigation (including Computer
Vision), and Control subsystems for innovative space missions. This role involves
developing cutting-edge algorithms, integrating hardware and software solutions, and
collaborating across engineering teams to deliver mission success.

Key Responsibilities:

● Develop GNC systems, including requirements, FDIR, and V&V strategies for Rendezvous and Proximity Operations (RPO) missions.
● Integrate GNC algorithms, Computer Vision, and hardware with the satellite bus.
● Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure subsystem performance and compatibility.
● Contribute to GNC subsystem and mission review gates, verification planning, and test execution.
● Support GNC software architecture development and algorithm implementation.
● Liaise with customers and suppliers to define technical solutions.
● Provide support for on-orbit operations of spacecraft.

Qualifications:

● Master’s degree in aerospace engineering or a relevant field.
● 3+ years of experience in GNC system development.
● Hands-on experience with GNC systems, including requirements derivation, control law design, and navigation algorithms.
● Knowledge of GNC technologies and hardware for space missions.
● Strong collaboration and communication skills.

Desirable:

● Experience translating algorithms into operational flight software.
● GNC hardware integration and test experience.
● Knowledge of RPO and docking algorithms.
● On-orbit satellite operational experience.
● Advanced Matlab/Simulink and intermediate C/C++ skills.
● Embedded software development knowledge.
● Familiarity with active debris removal missions.
