Position Overview:

Our client seeks a dedicated Inspection Technician to support the inspection lead in ensuring compliance with ECSS and IPC standards. This role involves performing inspections on various electronic components, including PCBs, module assemblies, and harnesses, while working collaboratively with the production team to meet project deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the inspection lead with inspections to ECSS and IPC standards, ensuring quality and compliance.
  • Perform inspections on printed circuit boards (PCBs), module assemblies, and harnesses, adhering to ESA and IPC standards.
  • Work according to the production plan, reporting progress daily and coordinating with peers as necessary.
  • Utilise X-ray machines, Hyrox equipment, and automated inspection machines for quality assurance.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of temperature and gold contamination levels in solder pots.
  • Undertake other duties as delegated by the inspection lead.

Qualifications:

  • ESA certificate in inspection is required; IPC certification is preferred.
  • Previous experience in an engineering environment is essential.
  • Demonstrated hands-on ability to perform inspections and operate relevant equipment.
  • Good general computing skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Clear communication abilities for effective collaboration and reporting.
  • A commitment to taking initiative and solving problems proactively.
  • Strong team-working skills with a desire to support colleagues.
  • Excellent planning and organising skills to manage tasks effectively under pressure.
  • Ability to deliver solutions under tight deadlines and multitask effectively while demonstrating company mindsets and behaviours, including accountability, effective communication, and teamwork.
