IT Security Network Specialist

Position Overview:

Our client seeks a skilled and motivated IT/OT Security Engineer to join their dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and developing IT/OT security concepts and network solutions for complex systems within the framework of development projects. You will oversee the setup, configuration, commissioning, and integration of these systems, ensuring successful customer acceptance through final integration and verification.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and develop IT/OT security concepts and network infrastructures for complex overall systems.
• Oversee the setup, configuration, and integration of security measures, ensuring compliance with customer requirements.
• Assist with final integration and verification leading up to customer acceptance.
• Participate in external campaigns, integration testing executions, and support acceptance tests.
• Implement concepts for the network and security infrastructure of Internet and extranet network transitions.
• Document the topology, configuration, and processes of deployed system components.
• Serve as a point of contact for 2nd and 3rd level support regarding network and security inquiries.
• Document network environments and contribute to planning and executing test setups, including the creation and maintenance of technical documentation.

Qualifications:

• Technical degree in electrical engineering, computer science, IT security, or related fields, with relevant professional experience.
• Proven experience in integrating and configuring routers, switches, and firewalls, as well as network design and security.
• Familiarity with network management tools and knowledge of IT security procedures (e.g., ISMS IEC 27000 series, IEC 62443) is a plus.
• Proactive, results-oriented, and adaptable, with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional German and proficient English skills are essential.
