Position Overview:
Our client seeks a skilled Control Technology Technician / Engineer to create program applications for secondary technical components and systems in substations and high-voltage switchgear, ensuring compliance with IT and OT security standards in critical infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop program applications for secondary technology in substations and high-voltage switchgear.
- Integrate software and hardware with external control centers and perform functional and factory acceptance tests.
- Commission secondary technology in customer facilities nationwide and resolve service cases.
- Provide feedback to enhance internal regulations and optimize testing procedures.
- Document tasks and support customers in developing concepts and requirements for station control technology.
- Collaborate closely with project management and system engineering to ensure customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Completed technician training or a technical degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics, or a comparable field.
- Proficiency in parameterizing control technology components (e.g., Relion, Siprotec) and willingness to learn Hitachi/ABB tools (PCM600, MicroScada).
- Experience with OMICRON testing devices and diagnostic programs is advantageous.
- Knowledge of requirements and interfaces related to control technology and associated trades.
- Independent, organized, and confident, with strong teamwork skills and flexibility.
- Willingness to travel occasionally within Germany and the DACH region, and possess a Class B driver’s license.
- Negotiation-level German language skills; English skills are a plus.
