Position Overview:
Our client seeks a Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Manager to lead financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting processes. This role involves providing cash flow, profit and loss (income statement), and operating performance forecasts to inform senior management and external stakeholders. The FP&A Manager will play a key role in supporting decision-making, ensuring alignment with strategic plans, and managing special projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor the Flight Software V&V Team, managing integration, verification, validation, deployment, and maintenance of satellite flight software.
- Lead monthly and quarterly financial reporting, ensuring timely and accurate consolidated reports.
- Prepare and review quarterly forecasts, budgets, and cash flow statements, identifying variances and aligning with project milestones.
- Collaborate with department heads to prepare annual budgets and 5-year financial plans.
- Oversee year-end audits and ensure financial statements comply with UK GAAP and IFRS.
- Manage external filings and tax return submissions.
- Support scenario planning, process improvements, and internal audits.
- Provide analysis to inform long-term funding and strategic decisions.
Qualifications:
- Professional accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA, or ACA) with 5+ years of experience in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Advanced Excel skills with experience in financial statement preparation.
- Strong analytical and communication abilities, capable of translating financial data for diverse stakeholders.
- Proven experience improving financial processes in a fast-paced environment.
- Desirable: experience with SAP, IFRS knowledge, and Japanese language skills.
