Position Overview:

Our client is seeking a candidate to lead security improvements across Microsoft 365, on-premises systems, and AWS cloud services. This hands-on role involves monitoring, enhancing, and securing the company’s IT estate, directly addressing security vulnerabilities, and working with a global IT team to ensure best practices are followed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and enhance the security of the Microsoft 365 environment, implementing controls like conditional access and privileged access management.
  • Configure Microsoft Purview for data loss prevention (DLP) and manage software vulnerabilities through Intune.
  • Ensure secure configurations of cloud services and improve detection capabilities across endpoints, cloud, and on-premises systems.
  • Perform regular security audits, including vulnerability scanning and penetration testing.
  • Act as the primary contact for incident management and support forensic investigations and malware analysis.
  • Develop threat intelligence feeds and stay informed about evolving security threats.

Qualifications:

  • Solid experience with Microsoft 365 security configuration and analysis, along with Intune in a corporate environment.
  • Expertise in hybrid global environments with VPNs, DLP technologies, and cloud security (AWS).
  • Strong analytical skills and experience in managing security incidents, vulnerability assessments, and threat hunting.
  • Degree in Computer Science/Information Security or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of Cyber Essentials Plus, ISO27001, and UK CAF.
  • Experience with programming and scripting (PowerShell, Python).
