Position Overview:

Our client seeks an Information Security Engineer to join their team of experts dedicated to information security in ground segments, satellites, and more. They are looking for experienced professionals and career changers to help advance the field of information security. Their diverse tasks provide opportunities for both technical specialists and organisational talents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop information security concepts for projects, considering customer needs and the unique aspects of space travel.
  • Provide support and advice to system engineers, administrators, and software developers on information security topics.
  • Plan and support the implementation of security measures (technical and organizational) following IT-Grundschutz or ISO 2700X standards.
  • Perform scripting and administrative tasks in IT security (Python knowledge is a plus).
  • Assess and evaluate security measures in projects, identifying weaknesses and gaps.
  • Develop and enhance IT security products in the space sector.
  • Train and upskill colleagues in information security.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in computer science, business informatics, IT security, or equivalent qualification (e.g., IT specialist, IT system clerk).
  • Several years of experience in information security, IT security, or cybersecurity.
  • Structured, analytical approach to work with a strong sense of responsibility.
