Position Overview:

As a Project Manager for Electronic Systems Development, you will lead multidisciplinary teams in the design, manufacturing, and testing of electronic units for satellites. Acting as the primary interface between the project team and both internal and external customers, you will manage all aspects of the project lifecycle to ensure custom-built products meet technical and customer requirements. This role requires leadership, coordination, and strategic oversight, pushing the boundaries of technical feasibility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead multidisciplinary, international project teams to develop, manufacture, and test electronic units for satellites.
  • Serve as the primary interface between project teams and internal/external customers.
  • Plan and coordinate design activities, procurement of components, manufacturing, testing, and qualification processes.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules and reports for effective project tracking.
  • Define objectives and monitor progress through regular project team meetings.
  • Organize and conduct design and project reviews with stakeholders and customers.
  • Regularly report project status updates to company management.
  • Manage project budgets and provide cost estimations.
  • Write proposals and lead proposal teams for future projects.

Qualifications:

  • Academic degree in a technical field (e.g., Electronics, Industrial Engineering, Aerospace Engineering) or an equivalent qualification.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with experience in team leadership.
  • Practical experience managing development projects, ideally within the space industry.
  • Basic knowledge of electronics and electronic design automation (EDA) software.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in German is beneficial but not required.
