Position Overview:

Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated Stress Analysis Engineer with a
strong background in space, aerospace, or other technical industries to join their
state-of-the-art facility. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the growing
problem of orbital debris while supporting innovative spacecraft missions within a
dynamic and welcoming team.

Key Responsibilities:

● Conduct stress and structural analysis at spacecraft, subsystem, and equipment levels.
● Assess analysis and test data to support the qualification of spacecraft and ground support structures.
● Ensure structural integrity of prototype and flight components across load cycles.
● Prepare test predictions for static and dynamic testing.
● Provide design recommendations and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
● Prepare, review, and present analysis work and ensure documentation is organized, traceable, and repeatable.
● Peer-review team analysis and deliver work to expected standards and timelines.

Qualifications:

● 3–5 years of stress and structural analysis experience in the space industry.
● Proficiency in structural calculations for metallics, sandwich panels, inserts, and bolted joints.
● Skilled in creating and maintaining Finite Element Models and performing static, frequency response, random vibration, and shock analysis.
● Expertise in FEA tools such as NASTRAN, Hyperworks, Femap, Abaqus, or Ansys.
● Post-processing of large datasets using tools like VBA or Python.
● Strong documentation and presentation skills with the ability to justify analysis to peers and stakeholders.
● Alignment with values such as transparency, innovation, and a mission-focused approach.

Desirable:

● Experience with CAD tools like SolidWorks and PDM.
● Familiarity with ECSS and NASA standards and guidance.
● Understanding of spacecraft product development cycles.
● Proactive mindset with strong engineering judgment and accountability for deliverables.
● Effective communication and the ability to convey structural expertise.
