Position Overview:

Our client seeks a dynamic, results-oriented Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) to lead the development and execution of the company’s commercial strategy, driving sales growth and ensuring overall business success. This role involves overseeing and integrating product, marketing, strategy, and business development functions to align with the company’s goals. Reporting directly to the CEO, the CCO will collaborate closely with executive leadership to ensure that commercial efforts align with long-term objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and execute a commercial strategy to drive revenue growth, expand markets, and acquire customers, aligning with business goals. 
  • Pursue new opportunities, partnerships, and revenue streams, building strong industry relationships.
  • Establish and oversee a product strategy in line with market trends, managing the product lifecycle from ideation to support, ensuring differentiation and innovation.
  • Collaborate with engineering, design, and operations to deliver products that meet customer needs and provide exceptional user experiences.
  • Build and lead a high-performing commercial team, mentoring staff and fostering a collaborative, innovative, and growth-oriented environment.
  • Support seamless cross-functional collaboration to ensure effective execution of commercial strategies.
  • Lead marketing efforts aimed at business growth, including direct marketing, branding, and communications for new product launches.
  • Monitor industry trends, implement strategic marketing initiatives, and explore partnerships to support growth goals.
  • Assess and manage risks associated with pricing, contracts, and market fluctuations, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Develop and manage the commercial budget, monitor KPIs, sales forecasts, and financial targets, and provide progress updates to the executive team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years in senior commercial leadership with a proven track record of driving sales growth and market expansion in satellite communications or a similar tech industry.
  • Strong experience in developing and executing commercial strategies, with demonstrated entrepreneurial spirit and innovation.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in technology, communications, or relevant sectors; consulting or professional services experience is a plus.
  • In-depth understanding of U.S. and international market dynamics, with proven expertise in marketing, M&A, and business development.
