Position Overview:

Our client seeks a dynamic and results-oriented individual to lead our Data Team, which is pivotal to our mission of enhancing access to data from space to address global challenges. This role involves driving the growth of our satellite imagery and insights sales and business development initiatives while ensuring the successful coordination of product development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Grow, manage, and lead the team responsible for sales and business development in satellite imagery and insights.
  • Engage and build partnerships with corporate and government entities, driving a proactive business development pipeline and securing contracts related to satellite imagery sales.
  • Define and implement the commercial and product strategy for satellite imagery and insights in coordination with the product team and executive team.
  • Work collaboratively with partners to deliver joint solutions to end users.
  • Oversee associated product development efforts to align with business objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Strong commercial and technical knowledge of satellite imagery and insights, including familiarity with the ecosystem and related data platforms.
  • Proven track record in business development and sales, particularly in securing high-level deals involving satellite imagery and insights.
  • Understanding of the downstream ecosystem, including key stakeholders, market segmentation, and the value chain structure.
  • Strong ability to engage and influence decision-makers at the corporate and government levels.
  • Proven capability to lead, motivate, and develop a business team to achieve individual and collective goals.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly to diverse audiences.
