Nebula Space are looking for a Project Manager to join a leading international aerospace client in the UK. As Project Manager you will be working within the Programme Management team. You will lead the successful delivery of assigned projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure project excellence and organisational value. Reporting to the Programme Manager, you'll manage projects within the Propulsion Systems products line, focusing on project management best practices, risk mitigation, resource allocation, and stakeholder coordination.
Responsibilities:
- Apply project management best practices to meet business objectives in terms of price, quality, and delivery targets.
- Identify and address challenges, manage risks and opportunities, and ensure compliance with project management processes.
- Develop and deploy necessary technical resources, monitor project progress, and provide updates to stakeholders.
- Contribute to business strategy, budgeting, and adherence to project management policies.
- Build strong relationships with customers and internal teams, maintaining effective communication and collaboration.
- Act as the main customer interface, ensuring their needs are met and fostering collaboration.
- Ensure compliance with Gated Review process and manage project workflow with Operations teams.
- Escalate risks to Programme Manager, lead root cause analysis, and drive problem resolution.
- Manage project budgets, risk reserves, cost reduction strategies, and customer communication.
- Provide regular project reviews, support cash-flow management, and contribute to proposals.
- Promote compliance with health, safety, quality, and environmental standards.
- Inspire and guide the team, driving a culture of continuous improvement.
- Stay updated on project management best practices through professional development.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Project Management qualification preferred (e.g., Prince2 or Agile).
- Minimum 5 years of proven Project Management experience, ideally in a similar sector.
- Proficiency in project management techniques, risk analysis, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Knowledge of ISO 31000:2018 and experience in data analysis, reporting, and budgeting.
- Familiarity with MS Office and Project Management software.
- Strong budget management skills and understanding of contract management.
- Experience in stakeholder management, change management, and conflict resolution.
- Commercial and contractual acumen with excellent organizational and planning skills.
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities and effective communication skills.
- Strong negotiation, decision-making, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage competing deadlines, and work collaboratively.
- Self-motivated and capable of independent work and analysis.
- Understanding of Quality Management best practices.
